There’s something missing in our modern world that got lost somewhere on the way.
I think it’s kind of a connection and this is what’s driving me.

Welcome, I'm Lucas.

I engage in traditional crafts, from Stone Age techniques to woodworking and complex joinery, as well as permaculture, holistic health, natural movement and also communication, art and philosophy. All these fields are parts of my own way to rediscover that lost connection.

My particular focus lies on sustainability and a close relationship with nature that humans have nurtured over millions of years before we lost sight of it.

Contrary to the common specialization in a single field today, I build bridges to bring different topics together in their versatility. I consider this an important approach to solutions because the challenges surrounding us are just as complexly entangled.

Education

On holiday camps and school trips, as well as in courses (e.g. carving classes), workshops and project days, I share my knowledge and skills, but most importantly, my enthusiasm for craft techniques, natural materials, movement, life skills and ways to interact with nature.

Crafts

I prefer to work with hand tools and natural materials to create truly timeless products. It’s important to me to understand the production process from the very beginning, so I also dedicate myself to the origins and development of the materials (e.g. selective harvesting, sawing and planing logs and boards, leather tanning, etc.).

Reconnecting

We can only truly protect nature if we understand ourselves as a part of it.
That’s why I love to move barefoot in the forest, climbing trees, as well as caring for them through correct pruning techniques, while deepening my knowledge of plants and their properties. We are surrounded by friends and allies in nature providing us with everything we need to live, if we are aware of it.
